The start of a new month means a brand new offer here at Little Lucy Willow...so during April only you will receive a FREE STANDARD TRUCKLE MATTRESS worth £135 when you buy a truckle bed. Now who could argue with that?
There is something marvellously magical about the truckle bed. Children are always drawn towards the display model in our showroom with a readiness to dive beneath the bright floral bedding and settle in for the night for a (sleepless) sleepover party. However, the fascination with these beds doesn't only apply to children. Mothers seem to warm to them too. Mayb..
It’s that time of year when many of us get itchy feet around the home, prompting a few subtle changes here and there.
You might decide to reorganise your furniture to breathe new life into an otherwise tired room, or you could simply opt to swap old accessories for new.
This early spring clean might start out in the kitchen before extending into the hallway and the lounge, eventually resulting in a top to toe overhaul of every room in the house!
By the time you reach the children’s bedrooms you have probably discovered your ruthless streak, disposing of anything in you..
Ok so here are the statistics...More than 50% of Little Lucy Willow customers opted to buy three quarter or double sized beds for their children last year.
It’s clear there has been a shift in the market but why?
Jason Thomas, Sales Director at Little Lucy Willow says it’s all down to sensible spending.
“It goes without saying that you need adequate space if you are going to purchase a double bed for your child, but those who have that luxury are choosing to buy bigger, simply to cut costs later on.
“It makes a lot of sense, especially if you are looking at a high qualit..
What could possibly feel better than clambering into bed on a cold, dark night with a heavy head and happy heart? Nothing quite springs to mind...
We hope this is how our children feel when they’ve climbed the apples and pears each evening. Safe, warm and sleepy.
I love to see them teddy in hand, droopy-eyed and smiling. But what I love most of all is pulling their warm bedspreads over their little bodies for one last cuddle before their eyes close and they’re lost to the land of nod.
It does help of course if you have gorgeous bedding to be snuggled up in, not least a ..
It’s Halloween tomorrow and I’m guessing you lovely mums have been busy preparing your fabulously frightening feasts and devilishly daring dressing up outfits? Thought so.
In our house, Halloween seems to have been upgraded to a week instead of just one day. Lucky me eh? If I’m not being serenaded by witches leaving green face paint on every wall, door and bath towel, I’m being scared senseless each time I enter a room by a rather loud “BOO!” Even walking past a wardrobe or standing beside Martha’s bed sends my nerves a jangling.
I’m not good with frights and onc..
The evenings are getting longer and the air, crisp and cold. It’s that time of year when we relish climbing into our beds on those darkest of dark nights and getting wrapped up ready to sleep.
I love ‘nesting’ for the winter around now and to help me along - and you of course! - I have expanded our Little Lucy Willow childrens bedding range to include some simply gorgeous new products. If you’re anything like me you will struggle to pick out your favourite. I am still undecided.
Here are the girls contenders…

Handmade to order painted children's furniture - The keystone to creating a picture perfect bedroom.
When you decide to revamp a child’s room, it can seem like an overwhelming task.
After weeks of building yourself up to getting started, you gingerly open the door with the best intentions but having cast your eye over the mountainous mess, promptly close it again. Aaaaand breathe!
Children seem to accumulate so many useless things, so many small things and so many things that don’t seem to belong anywhere in particular. The latter usually reside in a pile in the corner, get crammed under the bed, or stuffed in a drawer and forgotten about forever! Bouncy balls, slinkies, paint-you..
Autumn is almost here - if the increasingly horrible weather reports are anything to go by...
I am sad about the end of summer but am more than happy to welcome my favourite season with open arms. This slow burning beautiful season!
First we feel the cool morning air. Then we see our breath dancing before us and over the course of a few weeks, our second to biggest ‘big coats’ are out in force (we reserve the biggest coats for the depths of winter so we really ‘feel the benefit’ as my Grandma used to say…)
To ease you into the golden season let me show you some lovely L..
It’s the little things that let us know when our children are growing up.
The way they will happily give a once-worshipped toy to the tombola stall at the school fair. They way they might close their bedroom door and demand to be left alone - or else. And the way they suddenly produce a protective arm whenever little ones are around. A welcome but eerie change from all that relentless tormenting!
They may also decide to get rid of all those cuddly toys and hint at an upgrade to their bedroom accessories. Now that particular day is a very sad one indeed, but you must sigh and accept ..
When the sun comes out you want to be outside with it. The trouble is, more often than not, there are other things to do...work? washing up? the dreaded ironing perhaps?
If you’re anything like me, when there are jobs to be done you can’t just sit around and be all ‘chillaxed’ (as they say...). You want to enjoy the nice weather, but you just have to do those jobs. Otherwise you’ll be lying on your lounger, tapping your fingers, ‘casually’ humming and mentally planning how you are going to attack said jobs once the sun has gone in (deep breath) therefore willing the sun to go in so yo..
The sun is finally shining (albeit intermittently!), the flowers are blooming and the end of term is well within sight.
So now is the time to make sure your bedrooms are ready for the sunshine too.
Try bunting for the fun factor, mirrors to reflect the glorious light and and bright, white bedding to set the summer scene.
Here at Little Lucy Willow we have all of the above to make your child’s bedroom the perfect sunny sanctuary.
Our gorgeous organic duvet sets, for girls and boys alike, are a great compliment to the season, featuring everything from stars to owl..
