Touchscreens are still very much a novelty in all our lives. They certainly couldn’t be called a passing fad, that’s for sure. And as much as we hate to admit it, the chances are that we are all guilty of using them a little too much. I know I am.
I recall telling my husband in no uncertain terms whilst clutching my beloved Nokia 6310 that I would “never” resort to reading the news on a mobile phone or tablet, preferring to take a trip to the paper shop instead. It didn’t take me long to skip over to the ‘dark side’. These days, whatever is written in the morning papers seems such ol..
Easter is a time for new beginnings, not least because spring has sprung and our long winter hibernation is almost over!
As lovely as it is to see the sun streaming through the windows once more, it can also be ‘enlightening’ as to how much titivating may be required in the home... All those little scuff marks and handprints on the children’s bedroom walls may go unnoticed in the dull days of winter. Just pop the lamps and fairy lights on and hey presto, they magically disappear. Summer on the other hand, takes no prisoners!
So with this is mind, now could be the time to start ..
The possibilities are endless when it comes to children’s bedrooms. Decisions, decisions, decisions...So where do you start with such a task?

Choose a solid, dependable children’s bed
The bed is a sensible place to start but be sure to do your research. Imported children’s furniture might be cheaper than handmade alternatives but it’s likely to be of inferior quality too.
Consider how long you want your child’s bed to last. There’s no point buying cheap products if they’re going to fall apart in no time.
Once you’ve decided ..

March has arrived, along with pancakes, lent and the first day of spring - allegedly.
It’s also that time of year when we shake out the rugs, tidy the garden and breathe some life into our homes. But where to start?
Children’s bedrooms first please!
This is the place that usually commands most of our attention…If it’s not a lick of paint on the scribbled walls it might be a new blind, or lampshade to accommodate your child’s ever-changing tastes. Here are some more tips for a bright and beautiful bedroom:

Whether your half term is just starting or almost wrapping up, we hope you’ve had - or are about to have - a fabulous fun-filled time. It goes without saying that children love this little reprieve from school, but for mums, (well, me to be precise) it’s often a different story.
It’s not that I don’t love my children and don’t want to spend time with them, of course I do! Honestly! It’s more that I’m a lover of routine, certainty and above all, caaaaaaaaaalm. Oh, and a tidy house too. However, unless I do a moonlight flit and leave this life of chaos behind me I don’t think that’s EVER..
Children's bedrooms can often be messy and chaotic. If you're anything like me, you’re constantly picking up toys, clothes and the odd bit of lego that you only discovered because the sole of your foot is now throbbing for England...ouch.

Ok so how will that make a difference exactly? It's simple. When you have a matching collection of beautifu..
January is almost over and so is all hope of me sticking to my new year’s resolutions. I suspect and sincerely hope, I am not alone in such failure. I had resolved to cut out all the bad foods and eat more of the good, while doing a little exercise too. I didn’t do any of it. Not even for one day.
The guilt, oh the guilt! It’s a funny thing is guilt. Instead of spurring me on to squeeze into my lycras and sprint around the block, it just makes me want to reach for those chunky Kit Kats even more and eat the whole (exceedingly tasty) lot in one go. What is that about exactly?
