Making beds isn’t difficult. It’s just one more job that needs to be done - and the earlier each day, the better.
However, the simplicity of bed making renders it the type of activity that can help promote independence in a child and as such, is often the first ‘chore’ they will learn.

Easter is a time for new beginnings, not least because spring has sprung and our long winter hibernation is almost over!
As lovely as it is to see the sun streaming through the windows once more, it can also be ‘enlightening’ as to how much titivating may be required in the home... All those little scuff marks and handprints on the children’s bedroom walls may go unnoticed in the dull days of winter. Just pop the lamps and fairy lights on and hey presto, they magically disappear. Summer on the other hand, takes no prisoners!

October is a FANGtastic and SPOOKtacular month which certainly raises our spirits (and those of a few departed souls too).
I know the month has barely begun but the shops are already full of fancy dress regalia, dangly cobwebs and suitably orange-clad aisles. If only we could just get on with enjoying this BOOtiful month instead of being reminded that the dreaded horrors of Halloween await!
