Trampoline parks seems to be ‘springing’ up everywhere (pardon the pun) and as a consequence, my heart is spending an awful lot of time in my mouth these days.
In my younger years there was no such thing of course. Jumping on mum and dad’s bed was the best we could muster, but blimey it was fun! Sneaking upstairs when no one was looking and bouncing til the bedding came off. We never did manage to put it back on properly. Sorry mum!
The adrenalin was matched by precisely nothing, probably because it was strictly forbidden.
Due to this ‘rule’ being ingrained in my head, I have never given my blessing to such activities. Always one to sense danger, that’s me. Sigh.
But thanks to several pesky trampoline parties I have had to swallow my fear (along with a couple of Kalms) and let them loose to bounce.
Due to my soaring anxiety at the whiff of a trampoline park however, I am still trying to steer them away from such venues (and A&E for that matter), by revisiting the ‘bouncing on beds’ rule. After all, it IS a rite of passage, is it not?
Realising that my mum turned a blind eye to our mischief when discovering her crumpled bed sheets, I now do the same after ensuring there's no possibility of either child boinging into the bedside table. Ok, there's still a risk but not such a big one I'm sure.
So now there’s never a dull moment in our house. Squeals of laughter, delight and a couple of messy duvets. Who needs trampolines when there's a perfectly good bed to bounce on?
And by that I’m talking a Little Lucy Willow bed of course. Built with the best materials, by the best craftsmen, ours have certainly proved their strength and longevity, that’s for sure!
I really do believe in our products which is why my girls are surrounded by them at home.
