So Halloween is done and dusted. The pumpkins are rotting away nicely on the compost heap, the costumes have been slung back into the dressing up box and your cupboards rearranged to house the mountain of sweets that materialised after a short walk around the block. Talk about loaves and fishes...
You’ve just managed to get your house back in order and have five minutes with your feet up before BANG it’s bonfire night and you’re off again! So where will you go and what will you do?
I haven’t quite decided yet as I have been busy organising our latest photoshoot during the past few days. We have been in the studio with the low foot end Florence Flutterby bed which will go into our aptly named FLASH sale next week. Take a look, you won’t find products of this quality, for this price, anywhere else. I promise you. Sign up to our newsletter to find out what is going on sale, when.
I am excited for tonight as I do love a good firework display. I love warming my hands by the fire and writing my name with a sparkler, but primarily I love it because it’s dark. And cold. Yes, Bonfire night is my idea of heaven. A great night out with family and friends without the need to do my hair, find a lovely outfit, squeeze my feet into unfathomably shaped shoes or worry about my eye shadow looking like I’ve just been in the ring with Barry McGuigan.
I can get ‘wellied’ and ‘woollied’ to my heart’s content without betraying the fact that my hair is just that little bit too greasy to be out and about. I can eat Parkin and quaff punch in the great outdoors and not worry that my pashmina might fall to the ground as I wrestle with glasses, napkins and nibbles. It’s a kind of freedom. Like getting naked - with loads of clothes on.
Have a FLASHing, fantastical, fun-filled night with plenty of oohs and aahs. And Parkin.
