4. Heskin Hall (where our showroom is based) is drenched in history. The old hall itself is over 500 years old and has housed many titled inhabitants, three of whom were executed for treason. There are plenty of ghosts too!
5. The delicatessen downstairs does a really mean red velvet sponge cake (which I am trying to avoid at all costs!)
6. We are now selling our furniture in Moscow.
7. Our social media guru, Laura, has amassed a ginormous collection of Smurfs in her lifetime. At the last count it was 849. Her pick of the bunch is a tiny plastic 80’s Smurfette.
8. We have a ‘fat club’ chart on our office wall which is supposed to be documenting our weight loss. I have long been an advocate of slow and steady, proven by the fact that we’re still on the same side of A4 we were last year…
9. Our best seller is the Florence Flutterby collection. Girls just love it.
10. Jason proposed at the Cheltenham Gold Cup when Best Mate romped home to his second of three wins. We soon found ourselves in the Royal Enclosure and in front of the cameras being interviewed by Channel Four racing correspondent, Mike Cattermole. Thankfully Jason had asked my dad’s permission beforehand. I say thankfully because he was watching at home with mum. Phew!
