Little Lucy Willow
Same cars, different car park. It must be half term!
Whether your half term is just starting or almost wrapping up, we hope you’ve had - or are about to have - a fabulous fun-filled time. It goes without saying that children love this little reprieve from school, but for mums, (well, me to be precise) it’s often a different story.
It’s not that I don’t love my children and don’t want to spend time with them, of course I do! Honestly! It’s more that I’m a lover of routine, certainty and above all, caaaaaaaaaalm. Oh, and a tidy house too. However, unless I do a moonlight flit and leave this life of chaos behind me I don’t think that’s EVER..
Love is all around...with our Looby Lou exclusive collection
Love is all around us yet again as Valentine’s day approaches. Brace yourselves for hearts, flowers and romance. That’s if, as a mother of young children, you can remember what romance is...
In my case, ‘romance’ amounts to fish, chips and prosecco which suits me down to the ground. That, and the card with a question mark from the sender dropped through my letterbox at precisely the moment my hubby leaves for work. Strange that.
Valentine’s day is not just for grown ups though. It’s also a time to remind our little ones they are loved too. Our Looby Lou exclusive collection, f..
A messy child's bedroom can be a beautiful one too. Here’s how.
Children's bedrooms can often be messy and chaotic. If you're anything like me, you’re constantly picking up toys, clothes and the odd bit of lego that you only discovered because the sole of your foot is now throbbing for England...ouch.
So what is the answer to keeping those bedrooms looking ship shape? Aside from great storage and some brutal decluttering, you could try investing in some hand-painted children's furniture.

Ok so how will that make a difference exactly? It's simple. When you have a matching collection of beautifu..
A Little Lucy Willow bunk bed means a sound - and safe - night’s sleep.
At Little Lucy Willow we take children’s safety extremely seriously. That’s why all our furniture is built to comply with British Safety Standards.
This is crucial in the design of all our products, not least our bunk beds, which we believe are among the safest on the market today.
When choosing a bunk bed for your child, first consider current guidelines which recommend that such beds are not suitable for children under 6 years of age. Secondly, look out for something solid, stable and robust that conforms to BS standards. In the UK, this means that manufacturers must adhe..
Is your child's nose pressed to the desk? Perhaps some free time is in order!
January is a month that most of us can’t wait to see the back of. The concept of ‘fun’ seems nothing but a distant memory and there is a general air of gloom about the place. Going back to work after a nice break is never, ever good but it’s the children I feel for the most. The dread of school and early mornings once more. And the homework...oh the homework!
This week there’s been quite a buzz in the news about the fact that children are working harder than ever before with an average slog of 46 hours each week - putting us all to shame!

Super storage solutions for a very tidy - and stylish - 2017!
The end of the festivities is something we always dread in our house. The children can’t believe they have to wait another whole year until Christmas and the house looks like it’s taken minimalism a tad too far. “It’s so empty!” they all cry.
However, there is something a little delightful in this ‘emptiness’. I like to see it as my old friend ‘tidiness’. Pre Christmas, pre pine needles and pre Santa delivery. Ah yes, that…
So perhaps it isn’t as tidy as it could be, at least the children’s bedrooms aren’t anyway. But luckily, at Little Lucy Willow, we have storage solutions we..
Let your little ones play Secret Santa with our gorgeous collection of gifts!
When we were children, we didn’t buy presents for anyone at Christmas, we just received lots for ourselves. As we got a little older we wanted to buy gifts for our parents. When we reached adulthood, we decided to get a little something for our brothers and sisters too (sometimes!). When we become aunties or uncles, we bought presents for the little ones and our new brothers or sisters-in-law. When we found love ourselves, we discovered a whole new set of parents, siblings, nieces and nephews to buy for, then came the tipping point...our very own children!

Have the elves taken over your home this Christmas?
Every so often at Christmas time, a new craze appears on the scene. It's usually something I declare will never catch on and will fade away before you can say ‘figgy pudding’. More often than not, I am wrong about such things. Never more so than in the case of everyone’s new best friends (and foes), the ‘Elves on Shelves’.
Many years ago, a friend of mine who was living in America informed me about these mischievous little creatures. We laughed our socks off at the thought of millions of children being made to toe the line by nothing more than spindly and sinister looking elves.

Will Santa be bringing some personalised stocking fillers I wonder...?
So, those pesky children’s Christmas gifts...Have you bought them, wrapped them and stacked them under your tree yet?
Me neither. But I’m not fretting. Not just yet anyway. The all important lists are in my possession and I am trawling through them as we speak. I have added a few little trinkets of my own such as a personalised compact mirror and personalised jewellery box. I have also ordered some lovely personalised stationery too - the failsafe present that all little girls and boys will adore!
I’m not quite sure how to go about dealing with the particular..
Get your child's room ship shape and organised with a fabulous high sleeper!
December is almost here and you’re about to start shopping like you’ve never shopped before! The car parks are full, the weather is atrocious and there isn't a seat to be had in any coffee shop in town. Don’t you just love Christmas shopping? It has been said that lots more of us are buying gifts online nowadays but judging by the chaos on my local high street I beg to differ!
Despite my love of getting all ‘hygge’ before casually browsing for gifts online, there’s still something about the magical mayhem of being out amongst the throng of shoppers. It just has to be done!
