Little Lucy Willow
You can never have enough shoes. Or storage.
Decluttering before the re-clutter. Yes, that’s what I’m doing and I’m guessing I’m not alone. If you’re like me, you’re thinking about the ‘stuff’ you’ll have to get rid of before the new batch arrives in just over a month’s time, courtesy of a lovely white-bearded gentleman on a sleigh…
So you’ve finally decided what should stay and what should go. You’ve crept out to the car in the dead of night with a bin bag full of goodies for the charity shop, only to be rumbled the next morning when your daughter spots a stray doll’s arm poking out of said bag. The school run is tempora..
Find new ways to light up a bedroom with Little Lucy Willow.
As a new mum, I remember putting my teeny tiny daughter to bed in her nursery for the very first time and recoiling in horror that she would be in the dark, all alone. We decided to keep the landing light on as well as a small lamp in the corner of her room and have gone through more bulbs in the intervening years than I’ve had hot dinners. It was very strange to have that light on, meddling with our minds after years of peaceful slumber in the velvety darkness. However, such was our exhaustion it didn’t hamper whatever sleep our new baby allowed us to have!

A personalised gift for the child who has everything.
Now all the business of fireworks is done and dusted, I’m sure you’re all busy mentally preparing for the onslaught of Christmas shopping.
It’s a daunting thought for those of us who haven’t even started. I overheard a lady telling her friend how she’d just bought her very last present – in September. Not only that, she’d got a cupboard full of wrapped ones at home too. My heart sank like a stone, how I wished it was me!
So now I’m compiling list upon list – and a list of my lists – as I attempt to make a start. What to get who? I can’t possibly buy ANOTHER variatio..
Monster’s eyeballs! It’s almost Halloween!
Why couldn’t Dracula’s wife get to sleep? Because of his coffin. Monster’s eyeballs! It’s almost Halloween!
“Half term, ooohh, how nice it will be to have a few lazy mornings in bed”, I mused. What a treat not to have to run around at the last minute, up and down the stairs 150 times as I repeatedly forget what I’ve gone upstairs, or indeed back downstairs, for. It was a nice idea. However, thanks to those pesky clocks the children were up with the lark and dragged me along with them.
And there’s me thinking these winter days are supposed to be shorter…
At least I..
Ten ways your child will benefit from a good night’s sleep.
A comfortable bed means a good night’s sleep. We all want that for our children don’t we? Imagine being the one waking them up for a change, instead of having your eyelids pulled open at 5am and being ordered to “make the porridge”.
Of course when they’re older it will be a different story entirely, with frying pans and sharp sticks at the ready to remove them from their slumber.
But until that day, we must make it our mission to squeeze in as many hours shut-eye as is humanly possible – for us and for them!
We know that a good bed, with a supportive mattress is a key contr..
Every child should sleep well on Christmas eve. To make sure yours does, order before November 1.
For some reason we all want everything done “in time for Christmas”. We want our decorating finished, our carpets cleaned, we want to lose that last half stone and we want our new furniture delivered along with the tree. Well maybe not on the same day come to think of it as that would be unnecessarily hectic…
The point is, we all want our homes to be pushing perfection in time for the Christmas conveyor belt of endless visitors as they join us for drinks, Trivial Pursuit and our annual viewing of The Sound of Music.
We want to open our presents within a pic..
Plenty of Prizes this Autumn
So the inevitable has happened. The everlasting summer has finally bowed out leaving us fully immersed in the throes of Autumn. October is a beautiful and exciting month with lots in store to enjoy, not least half term, oh and Halloween too. “Whooooo” could forget that?

I have already earmarked the gold plated bumblebee necklace for my niece and have squirrelled away a couple of the silver plated ballet shoe necklaces for my own dear daughters. The trouble is, I can see myself wearing much of th..
You’ve made your bed, now lie in it!
So, you want to buy a bed? Let me guess, you’ve already looked at our collection and are still not convinced you’ve found ‘the one’ (a bed, that is). That gorgeous high sleeper is a little too wide and the Tilly Fleur a touch too long. Well rest your weary fingertips and treat yourself to a great big sigh of relief because you only have to let us know what size you would like it to be and we will do the rest.
Here at Little Lucy Willow we are more than happy to customise your furniture so it suits you and your home. Whether you have a really small space that you can’t waste..
Bikinis to bubble coats…
Despite the soaring temperatures in this seemingly endless summer, I’m not falling for it. Certainly not after last night, when I closed the curtains in my dining room for the first time since March. You can swan around in your shorts and t-shirts all you jolly well like. Why not spark up the BBQ and get the paddling pool out? You’ll find me inside laying a fire. You see, like it or not Autumn is here.
Ok it’s hot, but for every person basking in the sun, there’ll be one more muttering “oooh it’s chilly in the shade”. And the chill they describe isn’t the one we welcome in..
