We are well into the new year now and the team have been back into the swing of things, busy designing new ranges and launching our gorgeous new Little Buoy Blue collection and Bertie Beetle Collection for young boys. Then, down came the snow and after being house bound for almost 3 days due to the avalanche around my house, desperation set in and I knew that something had to be done about it. Out I went brandishing a 99p plastic spade that was bought on Southport promenade. I kitted myself out in my pink wellies, Martha’s hello kitty hat and hubby’s walking socks on my hands. 2 hours later, I had created some sort of a path……and I was off!
You would be forgiven for thinking that my desperation was to get into the office but those of you that follow me regularly may be less surprised to hear that my mission was to feed my only addiction…shopping. So to the Trafford Centre I went convincing myself that the jaunt was more of a research trip in which I had to source new fabrics for a new and exciting idea and just a little bit of window shopping. With every purchase, my hands started to thaw, and the credit cards practically went into meltdown! My fix was complete.
Finally the snow seems to have passed now as we head towards Spring which will mean that our local boys football team will be able to sport their new jerseys, sponsored by yours truly…Lucy Willow.
Just in case anybody is wondering, Christmas Day was wonderful, the Christmas Dinner was edible, dad managed to stay awake for most of the day and the ring……well, we can’t have it all can we?
“Big” Birthday in February, watch this space!!
