Happy Christmas from all at Little Lucy Willow!
So how has your December been so far? I'm hoping all your presents have been bought, wrapped and are tucked under the tree ready to be devoured on Christmas Day...ok maybe that is wishful I thinking but I'm sure it won't be too long before you're ship shape and ready!
This can be a super hectic time. I find the best way to combat any seasonal stress is to take time out with the children. I like to remind myself what it’s really all about. A simple drive out to look at all the Christmas lights (whilst listening to some festive songs of course!) is a great diversion from all t..
Routine rules if you want to be sure of festive fun.
So December is here and the madness has just gone up a notch. You’ve got presents to buy for everyone and his dog - then wrap them - a Christmas dinner for 14 to organise and somewhere amongst that lot you must shoehorn in your yearly visits to loved ones, or make space in your home for them to visit you. Phew. The mere thought of it all exhausts me!
Well don’t fret because we’ve got some handy tips to keep your children chirpy and cheerful despite all the upheaval the festive season can bring. Missed naps, irregular mealtimes, late bedtimes...it all adds up to a grumpy, grouc..

Elbows at the ready, it's time to brave the shops!
Christmas shopping should never be a chore. But when you’re surrounded by cheery festive overload it sort of pushes you to the other side of happiness. Oh and when you forget it’s Black Friday too...
Go just about anywhere and you’ll hear Shakin Stevens on loop, see shop assistants in titled santa hats and mechanical elves trapped in fake snow storms to remind you that ‘tis the season to be jolly’. Of course there are the crowds to contend with too. Like being swept up in the rapids it took all the strength I could muster to make my way to the shop entrance and cling on for dear life. ..
Order your Little Lucy Willow stocking fillers now!
It’s time. We must down tools and get those Christmas thinking caps on.
Outfits, food, decorations and most importantly - presents!
The biggest gifts are usually the easiest ones to sort out. The ones we know will be greeted with howls of delight and eternal thanks (for about two weeks at least...). We can get these boxed off, boxed up and ready to go under the tree.
It’s the little ones that get us all in a tizzy. What can we possibly put in those stockings that won’t get cast aside like an old stinky sock the moment they’re unwrapped?
Well here at Little Luc..
Choose luxurious children’s bedding to create a haven of comfort and calm.
What could possibly feel better than clambering into bed on a cold, dark night with a heavy head and happy heart? Nothing quite springs to mind...
We hope this is how our children feel when they’ve climbed the apples and pears each evening. Safe, warm and sleepy.
I love to see them teddy in hand, droopy-eyed and smiling. But what I love most of all is pulling their warm bedspreads over their little bodies for one last cuddle before their eyes close and they’re lost to the land of nod.
It does help of course if you have gorgeous bedding to be snuggled up in, not least a ..

A tidy room is a restful room...
Storage solutions are always going to pique the interest of mums. Our children might be the smallest people in our homes but they always seem to hoard the most ‘stuff’...
Whether it’s cuddly toys, train sets, teeny tiny Barbie shoes or pile upon pile of books and games, we always struggle to find a suitable home for all their belongings! And for those of us a bit short of space, well...the word nightmare doesn’t even come close!
So today I thought I might remind you of a great way to hide all that clutter in super stylish fashion.
Think lots of shelves, a spacious cupb..
News Flash! News Flash! Lucy Willow is a winner!
Today, I am possibly the proudest parent on the planet. I have some really exciting news to share with you….Our little Lucy was crowned winner of North West’s Got Talent at the weekend!!!
I know! We were bowled over too!
It was a nerve-wracking, nail-biting, heart-stopping evening - and that was just us in the audience! There were some amazing acts in the 20-strong lineup so imagine our shock when Lucy took the title alongside another young singer, Beau Dermott.
They both deserved the award that’s for sure and did so well to succeed against such strong competition...
Get woollied and wellied it’s bonfire night!
So Halloween is done and dusted. The pumpkins are rotting away nicely on the compost heap, the costumes have been slung back into the dressing up box and your cupboards rearranged to house the mountain of sweets that materialised after a short walk around the block. Talk about loaves and fishes...
You’ve just managed to get your house back in order and have five minutes with your feet up before BANG it’s bonfire night and you’re off again! So where will you go and what will you do?
I haven’t quite decided yet as I have been busy organising our latest photoshoot during..

Q: What's more scary than Halloween? A: Mum on a trampoline.
Phew! So that’s half term out of the way. I hope you all survived the mayhem. I did but I can’t honestly say that I’m in one piece.
It was Martha’s birthday party and this year she chose the one place that paralyses me with fear. No, it wasn’t the ghost train at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, or IKEA on a Saturday afternoon for that matter. It was one of those pesky trampoline parks.
Now I did my research and told all the mums that if their children were under the age of six they would need to be accompanied by an adult. Seeing as Martha was turning six and is one of the older ones ..
Get ahead of the Christmas crowd with our gorgeous collection of gifts.
I know you probably don't want to hear this, but it's time, I'm afraid, to start thinking about...just wait while I crawl under the desk and cover my ears...Christmas!
I am as reluctant as you probably are believe me, but time is pushing on and there are presents to be bought, so come on, chop chop.
Just in case you are resting on your laurels and think there is literally bags of time until the big fella jumps into your chimney pot - so to speak - let me show you my autumn pics.
These images of Heskin Hall, taken over the last three we..
Monster’s under the bed? Beasts in the bedding box? It must be Halloween!
It’s Halloween tomorrow and I’m guessing you lovely mums have been busy preparing your fabulously frightening feasts and devilishly daring dressing up outfits? Thought so.
In our house, Halloween seems to have been upgraded to a week instead of just one day. Lucky me eh? If I’m not being serenaded by witches leaving green face paint on every wall, door and bath towel, I’m being scared senseless each time I enter a room by a rather loud “BOO!” Even walking past a wardrobe or standing beside Martha’s bed sends my nerves a jangling.
I’m not good with frights and onc..
