In the movie of your life, who would you like to play you?
I would like Renee Zellweger in the character of Bridget Jones to play the story of my life. I have had so many ‘Bridget Jones moments’ and can relate to the character completely.
Which song gets you dancing?
It would have to be Tina Turner’s Shake Your Tail Feather, I just can’t stop myself..to the embarrassment of the children! Also lately I can do a mean dance to Uptown Funk, but I am under strict instructions NOT to dance when my daughters’ friends are around!

Anything with an electric guitar solo in it.

Find out how to celebrate a birthday in style!
As it’s our tenth birthday this month we have been thinking long and hard about celebrations. What can we do to mark this auspicious occasion? What would be the most fitting tribute to all our efforts and subsequent successes?
I decided to compile my own shortlist of the greatest parties on the planet in a bid to garner some inspiration…
I noticed that the Beckhams recently rented out what seemed like the whole of Marrakesh for David’s birthday and had a blast by all accounts. Gorgeous people were flown in from all corners of the globe to attend this ‘golden ball’. Yes, this id..
What else happened in 2005 the year of our company’s birth? Quite a lot actually..
Birthdays often prompt us to reflect on the past. So as we celebrate our tenth year in business, I thought I would take a trip back in time, to the year when it all began for us.
It was the year when the final Star Wars movie premiered in London, complete with a regiment of Storm Troopers and Darth Vader, when Glastonbury Festival suffered record flash floods and Daniel Craig was revealed as the next James Bond. Oh and Take That got back together, minus Robbie…
Here are a few more snippets from 2005.

The real Lucy Willow’s journey so far…
When I started this company it needed a title. We had named our first born daughter, Lucy Charlotte Willow Thomas. So there it was.
Me and Lucy when she was 3 years old.
I thought you might like to know some more about that little girl and what has become of her during the past ten years.
Me and Lucy.
Well I can tell you that she has grown into a beautiful, funny, kind and caring young person who has many talents. She’s a runner, a musician and she writes lots of stories. But of all the things she likes to do, singing is what she loves best. When she sings, I know her..
The future of Lucy Willow.
The past ten years have been an education for us. We have learned how to run a small business for one. We have also learned what it takes to build and sustain our success. But most of all, during those early days, we learned how to pick up the pieces and soldier on when things didn’t go quiteaccording to plan…But I suppose it wouldn’t feel like the achievement it does without a few mishaps along the way would it?
In all, we have had a great decade and are gradually becoming the company we want to be. We are constantly listening to what our customers want and respondin..
A day in the life…at Lucy Willow
Working at Little Lucy Willow is ever such a lovely job. Bathed in beautiful pastel shades, surrounded by gorgeous fabrics draped over fabulous beds…it’s not so much a job as a downright pleasure!
Except…we don’t spend an awful lot of time ooh-ing and ahh-ing over new furniture designs or bedspreads and we certainly don’t get much chance to sit down on said beds – inviting though they are!
No, we are on our feet, talking to customers and when we’re not doing that we are in the office on the phone, taking orders, answering queries and generally chatting about children’s furni..

It’s our ten year anniversary! But where did it all begin?
Well, where do I start? The past ten years have gone in the blink of an eye, such has been our workload, not to mention the arrival of our two beautiful, funny, energetic daughters, Lucy and Martha! But here we are and this is what we have achieved through a decade of long working days, very little sleep, a smidgen of time off and a few heart stopping bank statements…
Growing up I wanted two things. To run my own business and be a mum. I never really thought how the two would go together but when they happened within months of each other I soon found out.

Not quite ‘summer ready’? Join the club…
As soon as the sun starts to shine what’s the first thing that springs to mind? After the initial thankheavensitswarmer feeling has subsided of course…For me, it’s wardrobe hysteria. We are often afforded little warning when the weather is going to improve. One day it’s icy cold and the next, it is positively tropical! This leaves us with precisely five minutes to overhaul our wardrobes by ditching those polo necks and dragging out the old faithful “summer clothes”.
Will last year’s t-shirts that haven’t seen the light of day for six months be good to go? Will they have been de..

Help is at hand for your child’s sleep problems.
I have long been a really light sleeper. It all started when I became a mum for the first time. It can be quite handy, to be able to wake up at the drop of a hat when the children are crying, snivelling or have fallen out of bed. It can also be pretty annoying too.
I have spent many nights lying awake watching the clock strike hour after hour until I eventually fall asleep not more than 30 minutes before I have to get up. When the alarm does go off I feel like a dead weight, like someone has filled my arms and legs with cement during my two second doze and glued my eyelids shut..
